ABC Pool

ABC Pool is a social media site where users can share and collaborate on creative work. It’s a place where anyone of any age can upload multimedia, comment on each other's work, create and participate in discussion groups and suggest feature items to promote on the website.

As well as having an active community boasting over 5,000 members and 12,000 works, the site boasts some strong ABC editorial functions with staff being able to call-out to Pool members over the radio for contributions and feature prominent works or the activate of members.

Working with the ABC Pool editorial team and the user experience team from RMIT ACID labs, Monkii developed the main Pool community site using a Drupal content management system. The scope of work included customisation of Drupal, video encoding and high traffic optimisation.
