Monkii was commissioned to create a ground breaking educational website dedicated to the exploration of the moving image. ACMI Generator offers a digital resource for pupils and teachers to share and collaborate on filmmaking skills.
Generator was delivered on a Drupal platform with customisation for users to upload video, audio or image files to share with other users. The Youtube API was also used to provide cross channel publishing.
The Video Gallery element comprises hundreds of stories that can be rated, shared via email and social media. The Free Media Library consists of over 1000 items (video, images and audio files) that can be downloaded and adapted for educational purposes.
The ACMI Generator provides a unique online learning that addresses the need for learners to create and communicate online. The tool was a finalist in the 2010 eLearning Excellence Awards.

We had an ambitious content-rich and complex education project to deliver in a very tight timeframe.
